7 Tips For a Stress-Free Wedding Morning

After all the planning and anticipation, your wedding day is almost here! Believe it or not, it IS possible to have a relaxing morning on the day of your wedding! Use these tips to help you ease into your wedding day and leave the stress behind!

 1. START RELAXING THE NIGHT BEFORE

My bridesmaids and I stayed at an adorable B&B the night before the wedding. This was great because I was already in the mountains and didn’t have to stress about driving an hour on the day of the wedding. Also, all of us ladies got in the hot tub the night before and sipped on sparkling cider. It was so relaxing! I definitely recommend doing something to relax and unwind the night before!

2. HAVE A “DAY OF PERSON”

Designate a specific person ( be it your maid of honor, best man,  or wedding planner) to handle any hiccups the day of the wedding. Trust them to make decisions so you don’t have to be bothered by the little things that may come up on the wedding day. Make sure everyone knows who this person is and that you do not want to be bothered by decisions.

On the day of my wedding, we had a balloon release and we didn’t plan enough time to blow up all of the balloons for each chair, so my day of coordinator handles it and they spaced the balloons out. If someone would have told me, you can bet I would have hauled down to the ceremony site and started blowing up balloons in my wedding dress, make-up was half done and all! But the planner took care of the situation and I never had to stress about it!

3. MOOD MUSIC

Have a wedding day playlist ready with all of your favorite music! Whether you want energetic and upbeat or calm and chill music, this will help set the mood while you get ready!

4. EAT BREAKFAST!

Even if you’re not hungry, you will be! It’s best to at least have a small breakfast in the morning, because trust me, the hunger will hit at the worst time! Usually right when you’re waiting to walk down the aisle! You need food to help sustain you through the day!

5. PLAN AN EXTRA BUFFER IN YOUR TIMELINE

Often times the reason wedding days run late is due to it taking longer to get ready than planned. Don’t ever cut yourself short on getting ready time, but also don’t stress yourself out. Plan for more time to get ready than you think. I’m talking a whole hour more! Time moves quickly on the day of your wedding and it’s easy to lose track of it! This can make or break your whole attitude for the day. If you plan for an extra buffer that leaves you more time to relax and sip on mimosas in the morning!

6. HAVE ALL OF YOUR DETAILS READY

Gather all of the wedding details you want to be photographed in a bag the night before for your photographer. Also, have your dress and shoes out in the morning! This will help your photographer get started right away on the details! Nothing gives me more anxiety than someone waiting on me as I search through all my stuff! Skip the frenzy and plan ahead!

7. LASTLY, BREATHE!

Take time to be in the moment and soak it all in! You are marrying the love of your life and all of your friends and family are there to celebrate the two of you! Also, this is probably the only day you’ll wear that gorgeous wedding dress! So do all the twirls and take all the selfies with your friends!
If all else fails, I will be there to keep you calm and make you laugh!

I hope these tips help you to relax the morning of your wedding, and most importantly, to enjoy your wedding day!

Happy Planning!
